Remember that FA Cup games do not count towards TOTW This weeks side will run alongside TOTY fifa coins which for me rules Messi out for his hat trick. There are still some big names to get hyped about though with Bale, Godin, Hamsik and Jonas all making the cut.
Andrea Consigli - GK - 77 OVR
If there was ever a goalkeeper which was certain to receive a spot in TOTW it is Consigli after making six saves with several being world class to ensure that Sassuolo kept a clean sheet in their shock 1-0 away win against Inter Milan. He received an 8.5 rating from Gazzetta which is the highest for a keeper that I have ever seen, speaks for itself really.
Maxwell - LB - 79 OVR
Ligue 1 joined the action again after their winter break and just like pre break PSG can't stop winning. The registered a 2-0 home win against Bastia on this occasion, Maxwell scored one of the two alongside claiming MOTM and thus makes my side.
Diego Godín - CB - 88 OVR
It is a safe bet to assume that Godin will not be receiving a TOTY and thus is lined up for yet another IF this week after a brilliant performance for Atletico Madrid in their 2-0 away win against Celta Vigo. The only thing going against Godin here is the fact that he has three IF's already however he is one of only a few big names in with a shout and thus I have included the Uruguayan CB.
Vitolo - LM - 81 OVR
Vitolo picked up the MOTM award after claiming an 8/10 from Marca. He assisted one of Gameiro's two goals, who also stands a chance of making the cut. Sevilla won the game 2-0 at home to Bilbao.
Marek Ham?ik- CAM - 83 OVR
Napoli are very likely to pick up an IF however the big question is who will that be. There are a possible three players who could be included with Insigne, Higuain and Hamsik all putting in decent performances. I opted for the Slovakian who scored in both of their games receiving an 8/10 from one of the matches.
Jonas - ST - 82 OVR
It has not just been Slimani who has been lighting up the Portuguese but Jonas as well. The Brazilian striker has five goals o his name over the course of the week with two on Wednesday and a hat trick on Monday. Quite close to his SIF but the gap is big enough for me.
Wissam Ben Yedder - ST - 78 OVR
Ben Yedder is set to become one of the best discard IF's you will find after scoring a hat trick for Toulouse during their 3-1 away win against Reims. I highly recommend you try this guy out when he hits the 10k mark.
André Moreira - GK - 70 OVR
Moreira was robbed a few week back and is now in line for an IF again. He made 9 saves fifa 16 coins in total for Madeira to keep a clean sheet in their 1-0 home win against Boavista. I almost went with Sorrentino but that would have made it three keepers from Serie A and two is a push.
Anderson Luís - RB - 70 OVR
Quite a safe selection here as far as sub defenders go. Luis was involved in both Estoril goals with both a goal and an assist when they managed a 2-0 win at home to Belenenses. As you would expect in a week like this defenders were few and far between.
Antonio Mirante - GK - 77 OVR
I am unsure as to whether there has ever been two keepers from the same league in TOTW history however with the amount of Serie A goalkeepers performing to a high standard it could be seen this time around. Mirante made four saves in Bologna's 1-0 away win against AC Milan. He received a 7.5 from Gazzetta so although four saves might not seem much he obviously played a big part in the result.
Jaroslav Plail - CM - 75 OVR
This one is a bit of a punt however there is a good reason behind it. Ligue 1 obviously came back into action this weekend and I would be surprised not to see around 4 players included. There are two obvious ones which are both in the starting eleven however the other ones are up for grabs. Plasil claimed a 7 from L'equipe for his part in Bordeaux's 1-0 away win at Montpellier and with him being a gold I can see him sneaking in.
